Just Take a Photo — Honestly, That’s All We Need
Share
One of the biggest surprises for customers is how simple the process actually is.
Most people arrive thinking they need:
- a special kit
- ink prints
- moulds
- appointments
- complicated instructions
You usually don’t.
Most of the pet memorial jewellery we create starts exactly the same way:
with a photo taken on a phone.
The Biggest Worry People Have
Almost everyone says some version of:
“I don’t think my photo is good enough.”
The truth is, the majority of images we receive are not perfect studio scans. They’re:
- photos taken quickly at home
- screenshots
- old paw prints
- nose print photos
- prints on paper
- photos sent through WhatsApp
- pictures of jewellery
- slightly blurry images
That’s normal.
If You Can Photograph It, We Can Usually Engrave It
That has genuinely become one of the most important parts of what we do.
Some customers have:
- a muddy paw print on paper
- an old nose print impression
- a clay imprint
- a faded ink print
- a photo of a print taken years ago
- an image other jewellers already refused
In many cases, that’s still enough.
You don’t need to figure out whether it will work before reaching out. That’s our job.
Why We Don’t Use Complicated Kits
For many people, especially after losing a pet, complicated processes feel overwhelming.
We wanted the experience to feel easy, calm, and human.
That’s why most customers simply:
1. choose their jewellery
2. send a photo
3. let us take care of the rest
No waiting for kits to arrive.
No moulds.
No pressure to “do it perfectly”.
Every Paw Print and Nose Print Is Different
Some prints are sharp and detailed.
Others are soft, worn, or imperfect.
That’s part of what makes them personal.
Our role isn’t to erase their character. It’s to preserve it beautifully in sterling silver jewellery designed to last.
What Photos Work Best?
You don’t need professional equipment.
Usually, the best results come from:
- natural lighting
- close-up photos
- clear focus
- avoiding heavy filters
- photographing the whole print
But even if your image isn’t ideal, it’s still worth sending.
We Quietly Handle the Difficult Part
Most customers never see the amount of careful work happening behind the scenes — and honestly, that’s how it should feel.
You shouldn’t need technical knowledge to create something meaningful.
You simply send the memory.
We take care of turning it into something lasting.
If you have a paw print, nose print, old photo, or even just a screenshot on your phone, you’re probably much closer to creating meaningful jewellery than you think.
